Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage. Walk along the pathway beside the reflecting pool with fountains up to the mausoleum crafted in soft & pure marble and jeweled with semi precious stones, where in the serenity of paradise rests the Queen in peace with her King. Unfold the pages from the past to churn the charm out of its mystique and enrich your imagination about this marvel of an epic in stone.

Later visit the sprawling Agra Fort built in 16th century on the bank of the Yamuna River. The Mughal monument is also known as the Red Fort of Agra. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan, audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas, beautiful gardens and two very beautiful mosques. This immense fort and palace was the seat of power for four generations of Mughal emperors.

Afternoon will be free

Day 05: Agra – Jaipur (B)

This morning we drive to Pink city of Jaipur via visiting Fatehpur Sikri & Chand Baori step well.

Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent fortified ancient city, 40 km west of Agra, was the short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire between 1572 and 1585, during the reign of Emperor Akbar. Today it is a famous UNESCO World heritage site of India. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid.

Chand Baori in Abhaneri village of Rajasthan is the most photogenic step well of India. Chand Baori is the oldest surviving step well in Rajasthan and probably India. When you stand next to this 13 story deep step well with symmetric triangular steps leading to the water at the bottom, you are truly mesmerized. You, of course, understand that in the desert of Rajasthan, it is a practical water management solution.

Then we continue our drive to Jaipur. On arrival, please check-in at your Hotel

Set in a picturesque background, the splendid Amber Fort was built in 1600 by Raja Man Singh, commander-in-chief of the Mughal army during Akbar’s reign and greatest general of medieval India. This magnificent fort comprises an extensive palace complex, built from pale yellow and pink sandstone, and white marble, and is divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard. The fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013, as part of a group of six hill forts in Rajasthan. Its architecture is a noteworthy fusion of Rajput (Hindu) and Mughal (Islamic) styles.

In the afternoon set out on a half day city tour visiting Hawa Mahal (photo-stop), the Observatory-Jantar Mantar and City Palace.
