A visit to Thai Elephant Care Center in Chiang Mai

Our teammate Hemant had the opportunity to visit “Thai Elephant Care Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand 03 years ago ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ. The sanctuary was set up to provide care for elderly elephants retired from logging camps and elephant shows. It truly respects animal rights and there are no rides allowed.

Visitors are only allowed to feed Elephants with ground grass, herb balls and bananas, help out at bath time, and visit the cemetery for elephants who have died of old age.

Our teammate Hemant had the pleasure to feed these gentle giants who are the national animal of the country. Here are some of the amazing pictures of that visit. That will surely give you that actual insight of it.

If you are in Chiang Mai, visiting elephant sanctuary is going to be one of the amazing thing you could do. It is going to be a full day tour.

There will be an induction in the morning and they would take you directly to feed the Giant Gentle. Do you know that how much an elephant could eat ? Eat can up to 300 Kgs in a day and drink up to 120 liters of water.
